Electrical Thermographic Surveys for Insurance
Has Your Insurer Requested a Thermographic Survey?
Some commercial insurers require electrical thermographic inspections as part of their risk management arrangements, helping businesses identify potential electrical issues and reduce the risk of equipment failure.
Wye Valley Thermography provides professional electrical thermographic surveys for industrial and commercial premises, inspecting electrical distribution systems, switchgear, motor control centres and associated equipment.
Following the inspection, a detailed report is provided, including thermal images, observations and recommendations for further investigation or corrective action where required.
Where an insurer has specified particular inspection or reporting requirements, these can be reviewed before the survey to establish whether we can meet their criteria.
Based in Herefordshire, we provide inspections throughout the Midlands, South Wales and surrounding areas.
What Does an Insurance-Related Survey Include?
Before attending site, we review any specific requirements provided by your insurer or insurance broker and agree the scope of the inspection.
Surveys typically include:
Main electrical distribution boards
Motor control centres (MCCs)
Switchgear, isolators and circuit breakers
Electrical connections and cable terminations
Associated industrial electrical equipment
Inspections are carried out under representative operating conditions wherever safe and practicable.
Following the survey, a detailed report is provided, including thermal and visual images, recorded observations, identified anomalies and recommendations for further investigation where required.
Any limitations encountered during the inspection are documented within the report.
